Sri Neem Karoli Baba looking at the book "Remember Be Here Now"

40th anniversary of
„Remember Be Here Now“
by Ram Dass

40 years ago in 1970 the hippie classic "Remember Be Here Now" by Ram Dass, former Harvard professor Richard Alpert, was published. The book had a tremendous impact on the lives of many young people in the West and soon became a kind of Bible showing a path to a deeper, more meaningful life.

After having met his guru
Sri Neem Karoli Baba in India Maharajji eventually sent Ram Dass back to the US to write a book that would acquaint western people with the realizations of the eastern religions: the desire for self-knowledge and enlightenment as the purpose and the goal of human life.

Also for Sri Durgamayi Ma this book should lead the way! Seeing a photo of Baba she was so inspired that she went to India - at that time over land - to meet him.

Baba’s way of being with people deeply touched Mataji. He was totally new every single moment and different with everyone who came to meet him. Experiencing his unity with all beings she only wanted to become like him.
After her beloved guru left his body in September 1973, she found her master
Sri Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati in America. Through Jaya Ma’s guidance and the fire of Divine Love Mataji attained enlightenment in 1981.

As Mataji’s Chelas we deeply pranam to our Satguru Sri Neem Karoli Baba working in these subtle ways.

A last part of Vishnu Digambar's ashes was given over to the lake Starnberg, by his family. Vishnu was very fond of this lake where he had spent his childhood and youth.

In this way Vishnu Digambar's very sick elder brother was also able to say farewell.
